Mini-Show Rules
1. Only one entry per person per class.
2. Potted Plants must have been owned by the exhibitor for at least 3 months prior to the showing. 3. In Design classes, entries must be designed by the exhibitor. Flowers, foliage and other materials must be garden grown or from nature but can be obtained from others. Material from commercial sources is only acceptable in the February, March and April Mini Shows. No artificial plant material is allowed unless stated otherwise in show schedule. 4. Write the class number, description of entry and your name on the entry tag. Then place your tag with your entry on the show table. 5. Flower and Vegetable Specimens must be grown by the exhibitor. 6. Entries are judged by a Certified Judge, based on the Ontario Judging and Exhibiting Standards. In order to encourage more people to take part, we use a Merit System (each entry gets a 1st, 2nd or 3rd depending on the quality of the exhibit) Hints and explanations are given during the meeting. Mini- Show Trophy Rules
1. Points are accumulated from December's meeting one year to November's meeting of the next year.
2. 1st. Prize - 3 points; 2ndprize = 2 points; and 3rd prize = 1 point 3. "Best in Show" - 5 points 4. The person with the highest total points will have his/her name put on the trophy and may keep the trophy for one year. Scale of Points for Floral Designs

Design: Following the principles and elements of design= 35 points (See the PPT Principles and Elements of Floral Design on Google) Conformance: To what the schedule says = 25 points Creativity: Both in ideas and materials used - 20 points Distinction and Condition of plant material = 20 points March 2025

SUMMER BREAKSEPTEMBER 2025
1."Autumn Arrangement" for a large coffee table- all materials must be home grown. Accessories permitted. 2.Collection of Garden Vegetables from your garden-named 3. Vase of Dahlias - named if possible 4. Horticultural Show Off OCTOBER 2025
1. "It's Pumpkin Time": - your choice 2. Collection of Seeds saved for 2026 - named 3. One Homegrown Pumpkin or Ornamental Gourd or any other squash - named 4. Horticultural Show Off NOVEMBER 2025
1. "Blustery Days" - Your choice 2. Photo- "In My Garden" (a photo taken in 2025) - see photo Guidelines in Handbook. 3. "Kale" in a vase - variety named if possible 4. Horticultural Show Off DECEMBER 2025
